She then shared her heartfelt memories of Fuji Rock.
Awich reminisced, “On my way back from watching SIA’s set with my daughter, we met a woman in a wheelchair. She had been coming every year since 1997 and shared so much about Fuji Rock with me. I told her I was making music as Awich and dreamt of performing on the GREEN STAGE one day. Her name was Rika. A few months later, I heard she had passed away. Our encounter was her final memory of Fuji Rock. Rika, are you watching? I made it to the GREEN STAGE!”
