Born in 1998, this dope rapper hails from Kushiro, Hokkaido. Influenced by Hokkaido’s HIPHOP scene, he started spitting fire in Sapporo back in 2017. With an unmatched word choice and a dirty voice, he keeps it 100 by pouring his real-life experiences straight into his tracks. Kicking off with his banger “Original Palette” dropped in 2020 with his homie GEROGE a.k.a. GAMA, he’s been making waves with releases from MATCH THE 9REEN RECORDS, SPOKEN TALKEN SESSIONS, and Kill Sound Murders, not to mention his solo joints. Dude’s been stacking up mad cred in the scene.
Now, PAL’s highly anticipated 1st album is finally dropping on August 3, 2024. Titled “Winter Green,” this project is stacked with guest features like HANG from Final Weapon Company, JUNK WALKER repping Kushiro, and his crew SPOKEN TALKEN SESSIONS. On the production tip, he’s got beats from Olive Oil, GRADIS NICE, MASS-HOLE, and K.E.M, bringing the heat from all over Japan. PAL’s unique rap style stays solid throughout the album, delivering bars that are both intricate and bold, showcasing Hokkaido’s HIPHOP from all angles.
The artwork is handled by his high school homie and manga artist Yuki Yoshida, along with Masaya Endo who’s been holding it down with him in Kushiro. This album is PAL’s calling card straight outta Kushiro, Hokkaido. Don’t sleep on this one – make sure you cop it.
